Alligator

Alligator,
Grey and still,
Slaver drips from
Crazed lips;
Languorous turn to
Prey;
Teeth glisten to quickly
Flay.

Drool on flesh,
Freshly drowned,
Pink spittle fresh
Mottles splintered bone
From the death roll.
Alligator,
Grey and still,
Replete.

  3. Thanks Eve and Ethan – Ethan, I thought your poem ‘Euphoria, With A Gumdrop Incision’ was most thought-provoking and incisive.
