Flower—A Triolet
I’ve brought you a flower, he said,
so you will smile, be lucky,
you can see it here from your bed,
I’ve brought you a flower, he said.
When you settle your hot hot head,
you can see it—you won’t feel so yeucky.
I’ve brought you a flower, he said,
so you will smile, be lucky.

I responded over on my page, but couldn’t resist another reading. Such an uptempo feel to this one. It still makes me smile.
PS – It is a good thing you have sharpened your rhyming pencil – next week’s challenge is an Awdl gywydd. I posted an example already under the forms tab if you want to get a look at the form early and let it brew for a few days. I’m still working the kinks out of a more complicated use of the form for my official submission. What a challenge!

So good to see you ‘couldn’t resist another reading’ ~ oh my, I feel very honoured! I’m taking a look at the weirdly named Awdl Gywydd, sounds very strange!

More “crap” in poems – that’s what I say. I had a “turd” in one last week. 😉
