Cauliflowers Are Smelly

All is melancholy.
Cauliflowers are smelly,
And melons they are sweet.
Sweets are very harmful
To mouths containing teeth.
Tooth combs are essential
When nits infest the hair,
Hares box in the springtime,
Thyme scents summer air.
Ayres is quite a poet,
Poems from head and heart,
Hearts say that ‘I love you,’
Yew makes hedges, large.
Size is not important,
Earnest disagreed,
Greed’s a deadly sin,
Syncing apps is guaranteed.
And lip syncs really matter,
Matter’s to be seen,
Seers can see everything,
High, low and in between.
This is where we go with our seeing eye,
Aye is what sea captains say,
Aye-aye, aye-aye, eye-eye.

  2. A real rambling quality to this Polly, but so much energy and with a wonderful childlike imagery mostly, with one or two more poignant passages. Really thought-provoking and reminds me of how my own brain flits between ideas constantly

  7. ha – nice… so very cool how you link seamlessly from one to the next…very clever…and isn’t that how the mind works sometimes…we start somewhere and end up completely somewhere else but everything links together so logically…smiles

  16. Haha, this word play is fast and furious. I’m so sorry for the delay in responding. I sliced open one of my fingers ( 4 stitches and it made typing impossible for a bit).
