Mindful Writing Challenge ~ January 2013 ~ Small Stone 6

Every January, Satya and Kaspa of Writing Our Way Home challenge us to write small stones thoughout the month. Here is my small stone for today.

Day Six

Spherical nest of twigs, stalks, moss, tucked low in the winter hedgerow, falls apart in the brownness of age and decay.

  1. Something about ageing in January…Is it just me? I liked this. Short and precise. Very clear.

  3. This might sound bizarre, but this had a real mathematical feel to it. It was opening with ‘spherical’ that did that, and then the falls apart bit was scientific. Overall, this is a study of the science of nature.
