Fairground Attraction

Oh! It’s him! Walking through the fairground crowds,
His back to me. I follow, barge. Barge past
Others who block my way, momentarily,
I can see his profile, his dear, dear face.
Is it him? I near. Start to fear. I have
It wrong perhaps?

  1. A face in the crowds… Dramatic! Breathless! Then… oh.

  2. Great emotion. I LOVE seeing people I had crushes on in public. BUTTERFLYS!!!

  3. You’ll never know if you don’t hurry up!

  4. Oh, I hope for her sake it was! (Unless she never wants to see him again. In that case, I hope it wasn’t. šŸ™‚ )

  5. Ahhhhh … you’re right, they didn’t … Bazinga! … heh-heh… šŸ™‚

  6. That happened to me when I was 14 at an amusement park. I fell in love with a stranger and never found him again in the crowd.

  7. Mysterious!
    There’s a challenge – can you work Bazinga into a poem? šŸ™‚

  8. Love this Polly, it leaps off the pages and spins past like a waltzer, and it captures the real essence of those moments. Great piece!
