A Quality Dilemma

Quality, quality, quality…
that’s what it’s all about,
you might think it boring,
until your work’s in doubt.

It’s not a cause of jollity
or any slight frivolity,
because in the world of quality
evidence is King.

Showing things done properly
is not a scholarly lottery,
it’s easy, easy-peasy,
so why’s it rarely done?

  1. I’ve often wondered the same, although not worded so beautifully.

  2. Polly, this was a clever reminder that quality is going “by the wayside” more and more! I also like the word, “craftsmanship” as being less perfected these days. So many buttons, seams and stitches are unraveling on clothes bought at stores. . . Woodwork stains uneven and other examples of quality.

    • There’s so much could be said about various aspects of quality—overall we must continue to fight for the best—many good things are done well, celebrate them and improve on the others ‘eh?
